5 steps to turn your idea into a real business

A short practical guide for anyone with an idea who doesn’t know where to start.

Every successful business started as an idea — but not every idea becomes a business. Here are five practical steps to get going:

1. Define the problem before the solution

Ask yourself: what real problem do people have, and are they willing to pay to solve it?

2. Talk to 20 potential customers

Before building anything, listen. Short interviews save you months of work in the wrong direction.

3. Build the simplest possible version

Your first version (MVP) is for learning, not perfection.

4. Test and measure

Pick one clear success metric and track it weekly.

5. Ask for help

The founder journey is much shorter when you don’t walk it alone.
Failure is not the opposite of success; it is part of the road.
